Jeff Daniels Joins 'The Morning Show' for Season 5

On Monday, Apple TV announced Jeff Daniels, actor, joins The Morning Show's fifth season as Lukas, a self-made billionaire and investment-firm founder in a major recurring role.
Season 4 wrapped recently, and Apple has not confirmed a return date for season 5, while showrunner Charlotte Stoudt said a 2026 premiere is possible due to delays from the writers strike.
Daniels joins an all-star cast led by Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, who also serve as executive producers, with returning performers including Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Nicole Beharie, and Jon Hamm, while Media Res produces with Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer attached.
This role marks Daniels's third Apple TV project, following Shrinking and a documentary narration, and he is a two-time Emmy winner for The Newsroom and Godless.
With the UBA-NBN merger complete, showrunner Charlotte Stoudt says season five will explore Bradley and Cory's relationship and continue threads from Belarus and the merger.
