Stellantis expects $2.7 billion first half loss as restructuring costs, US tariffs bite
NETHERLANDS, JUL 21 – Stellantis posted a €2.3 billion loss in H1 2025 due to a 25% drop in North American shipments and €3.3 billion in pre-tax charges from canceled programs and restructuring.
- Stellantis N.V. reported a preliminary €2.3 billion first-half loss as it faces challenges revamping product ranges in Europe and the U.S. while dealing with President Trump's tariffs on imported vehicles and auto parts.
- The company booked €3.3 billion in pre-tax charges for canceling vehicle programs and investing more in popular hybrid cars in Europe and large gasoline-powered models in the U.S. market.
- Trump's tariffs have cost Stellantis €300 million so far as the company reduced vehicle shipments and cut production to adjust manufacturing levels.
