Japan Imposes New Sanctions on Russias Shadow Fleet and More Than 30 Companies
Japan introduced new sanctions on 2 October, including asset freezes and trade and financial restrictions. Measures target 33 Russian companies, nine individuals and 35 vessels in Russia’s shadow fleet.
With these sanctions, they occur as the tension between the two countries increases around the dispute over the islands of Curillas.
