On the 27th, the Miyakojima Residents' Liaison Group Against Missile Bases submitted a request to the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Miyakojima Garrison, the organizer Miyakojima City in Okinawa Prefecture, and the Ryukyu Shimpo newspaper, asking that Self-Defense Force personnel supporting the 40th All Japan Triathlon Miyakojima Tournament, to be held on April 19th, wear volunteer T-shirts instead of camouflage uniforms.
