James Wan to direct English-language remake of Korean crime thriller
- Recently, Paramount Pictures tapped James Wan, director and producer, to direct an English-language reimagining of The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil with Don Lee , star of the original and producer, attached.
- The studio picked up rights in June 2022; the original premiered at Cannes in 2019, opening in the Midnight Screening, and had a modest U.S. release from Well Go USA.
