Jaguars Activate Cole Van Lanen From PUP List. Will He Be Ready for Season?
Van Lanen returns to practice and can ramp up in full pads and team drills as Jacksonville adds depth amid offensive line injuries.
On Thursday, the Jacksonville Jaguars activated offensive tackle Cole Van Lanen off the physically unable to perform list after he passed his physical examination.
Van Lanen sustained a right knee injury during the January 4, 2026, win against the Tennessee Titans, sidelining him through the playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills.
The Jaguars' offensive line has faced multiple injuries during training camp; right guard Patrick Mekari underwent recent back surgery and tackle Chuma Edoga sustained a lower-body injury.
Head coach Liam Coen previously moved Anton Harrison to left tackle, positioning Van Lanen to compete for the starting right tackle position with increased roster flexibility.
With the season opener against the Cleveland Browns scheduled for September 13, the Jaguars have three weeks to integrate Van Lanen into team drills and finalize offensive line combinations.
