Jaguars LT Anton Harrison to Have Arthroscopic Knee Surgery and Will Miss Weeks, Maybe Months
Backup Walker Little is expected to replace Harrison, and doctors will determine whether the knee injury keeps him out for weeks or months.
- On Tuesday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Jacksonville Jaguars left tackle Anton Harrison will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery following his injury during Sunday's 19-17 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
- Harrison injured his knee early in the third quarter while blocking on a sweep play; the former Oklahoma standout had moved to left tackle this season to improve the run game.
- Backup Walker Little is expected to replace Harrison in the lineup, having started 39 games over six seasons with Jacksonville and finishing the game against Philadelphia last Sunday.
- Surgeons will determine the recovery timeline during the procedure, with projections ranging from 3-5 weeks to 3-4 months, while Jaguars head coach Liam Coen acknowledged the team faces significant challenges ahead.
- The Jaguars play the Houston Texans this Sunday at Wembley Stadium before a Week 7 bye; if placed on injured reserve, Harrison could return as early as Week 11 against the New York Giants.
