Josh Allen Leads Bills over Jags 27-24 for Buffalo's First Road Playoff Victory in 33 Years

Bills quarterback Josh Allen led Buffalo to a 27-24 victory over Jacksonville on Jan. 11, 2026 in the AFC wild-card opener.
Allen completed 28 of 35 passes for 273 yards and a touchdown while using quick releases to negate Jacksonville's pass rush and executing a 10-yard sneak before scoring.
After Jacksonville Jaguars took the lead with 4:03 remaining, Buffalo intercepted a deflected pass on their final drive to seal the win.
The result delivered Buffalo its first road playoff victory in over 34 years, snapping an 0-5 skid under coach Sean McDermott and ending eight consecutive postseason road losses since 1992.
Allen also contributed on the ground, running for two scores while James Cook, Bills running back and NFL rushing leader, was mostly bottled up with 46 yards on 15 carries.
