ELK RIVER — The Bemidji High School boys volleyball team were just a few points away from avoiding a sweep against Elk River. Instead, the Elks defeated the Lumberjacks 3-0 to drop BHS to 3-11 on the year. After losing the first two sets 25-10 and 25-11, BHS came close to claiming the third set. But the elks prevailed, winning 25-20 to secure the sweep. The Jacks' season finale will be against Rogers May 15.
