- During a trap operation, the CBI caught Agricultural Extension Assistant Abhilashi Sharma and private person Ashok Kumar red-handed while accepting Rs 15,000 from the complainant.
- Following the trap, the agency arrested Sharma from his residence in connection with the bribery case.
- The Central Bureau of Investigation is currently examining the full sequence of events and the role of the accused officials in the alleged disbursement scheme involving government agricultural subsidies.
