MONTREAL—The number of tropical storms is expected to be higher than normal in the Atlantic this year and Environment and Climate Change Canada is inviting the population to prepare. The number of storms that will affect Atlantic Canada may be higher than usual, but an active season does not necessarily mean that more damage is expected," said Bob Robichaud of Environment and Climate Change Canada's Canadian Hurricane Prediction Centre.
