The Canadian Hurricane Centre is calling for an active Atlantic hurricane season this year, but the actual impact on their response zone is yet to be seen.

Environment and Climate Change Canada expects a more active than normal hurricane season between June 1 and November 30, as tropical storm activity is expected to rise in 2025. Experts anticipate between 13 and 19 named storms, between 6 and 10 hurricanes and between 3 and 5 major hurricanes in the Atlantic Ocean basin. The government body invites all Canadians to prepare. MONTREAL—The number of tropical storms is expected to be higher than normal in the Atlantic this year and Environment and Climate Change Canada is inviting the population to prepare. The number of storms that will affect Atlantic Canada may be higher than usual, but an active season does not necessarily mean that more damage is expected," said Bob Robichaud of Environment and Climate Change Canada's Canadian Hurricane Prediction Centre.
