COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Next year (2027), medical bills in South Carolina may look a little longer. Starting in January, hospitals and healthcare facilities will be required to give patients itemized bills, in writing and electronically. This is part of a push by York County State Representative Heath Sessions to bring patients more transparency.
