Nazi war crime occurred on 12 August 1944. Italy on Tuesday marks the 81st anniversary of the Nazi massacre of 560 unarmed civilians, including around 130 children, in the village of Sant'Anna di Stazzema in Tuscany. The mass killing on 12 August 1944 - one of the worst civilian massacres in western Europe during world war two - was carried out by Waffen-SS troops as they retreated, with the help of Italian fascists disguised in German uniforms.…
