The three-year wage agreement concluded during the Orbán government needs to be reviewed, according to the Permanent Consultation Forum of the Competition Sector and the Government, the Minister of Social Affairs and Family Affairs reported on his Facebook page. This development is also key in relation to the development of the minimum wage in 2027.
The original goal was for the minimum wage to reach 50 percent of the regular gross average earnings.
The government says the three-year-old wage agreement needs to be reviewed. The employers are seeking to improve productivity and competitiveness. The employees want to see an increase in the reimbursement of commuting costs.
