Italy Producer Price Inflation Climbs To 10.9%
Italy's producer price inflation accelerated in August to the highest level in more than three-and-a-half years amid higher energy costs. The producer price index climbed 10.9 percent year-over-year in August, faster than the 7.7 percent increase in July. The acceleration in inflation was mainly driven by 34.5 percent higher costs for energy.
In August 2026 the production prices of the industry rose by 2.4% on a monthly basis and 10.9% on a yearly basis. For buildings they are stable on a monthly basis and increase by 2.9% in a year.
