A Turkish court has ordered the arrest of 12 people detained in a new operation targeting a subsidiary of the İstanbul Municipality over allegations of bid rigging, the Anka news agency reported.
Of the 24 suspects detained in Istanbul on allegations of rigging a tender through Ağaç ve Peyzaj AŞ (Tree and Landscape Inc.), 12 were arrested.
In the operation targeting Landscape and Tree Inc., conducted as part of an additional investigation into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), 12 of the 24 people referred to the courthouse were arrested. 12 people were released under judicial supervision. Click here for more.
Of the 24 people detained in the operation targeting Ağaç ve Peyzaj A.Ş., a subsidiary of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), and subsequently referred to the courthouse, 4 were released under judicial supervision. Of the 20 people referred to the courthouse, 12 were arrested while 8 were released under judicial supervision.
In the investigation into the "Imamoğlu Organised Crime Group," 23 suspects who were detained on the allegation that tenders were rigged by operating an irregular, fictitious tender system through Ağaç ve Peyzaj AŞ (Tree and Landscape Inc.) were referred to the courthouse.
