Mossad: Iran-Backed Terror Plot Targeting BTC Pipeline, Israeli and Jewish Sites in Azerbaijan Foiled
Authorities said the cell was armed with smuggled explosive drones and devices and that at least 10 people were identified in the plot.

- Intelligence agencies linked the cell to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' Special Operations Division , directed by senior leaders including Chief Rahman Moqadam, who were killed during the recent US-Israeli war against Iran.
- Azerbaijani authorities arrested members after discovering smuggled explosive drones and C-4 explosives; officials identified at least 10 people who gathered intelligence through "physical surveillance and photography" under direct Iranian orders.
- Foreign Minister Gideon Saar announced that Iranian-backed terrorists have targeted over 30 Israeli embassies since October 7, 2023, and noted Iran "spreads chaos and terror throughout the world," citing recent drone strikes in the UAE.
