Israeli firm BlackCore suspected of meddling in New York and Scotland votes, France says
Viginum said the Israeli firm used influence tools and shared web infrastructure in operations that reached New York City, Scotland, Angola and Togo.
Israeli firm BlackCore is suspected of interfering in elections in New York City, Scotland, Angola, and Togo, according to France's disinformation detection service, Viginum.
Viginum chief Marc-Antoine Brillant said technical work led them to suspect BlackCore's involvement in these elections, presenting a detailed report on the firm's actions worldwide.
The French government has asked Israel for explanations on BlackCore's actions and for help in finding out who may have been behind the alleged smear campaigns.
