ISRAEL AND IRAN, JUN 24 – Israel claims it has destroyed key Iranian nuclear and missile infrastructure, eliminating hundreds of operatives and achieving full air superiority over Tehran, officials said.
- Israel announced a ceasefire with Iran on Tuesday morning following the successful completion of Operation Rising Lion, which started on June 13.
- The ceasefire between Israel and Iran, reached with the involvement of U.S. President Donald Trump, came after extensive Israeli strikes on Iran’s nuclear and missile targets and subsequent missile launches from Iran toward Israel.
- The Israeli Defense Forces carried out strikes on approximately 100 locations across Tehran, targeting key military and nuclear sites such as the weapons development center linked to SPND, resulting in the deaths of senior officials. In response, Iran launched about 20 missiles toward Israel, with the majority being successfully intercepted.
- Prime Minister Netanyahu announced that Israel eliminated two critical existential dangers and secured complete air dominance over Tehran, calling the operation a major achievement and expressing gratitude to President Trump for his support.
- Despite the ceasefire, Israel warned it would respond forcefully to any violations, maintained high alert, and urged its public to continue following safety instructions due to ongoing dangers.
