- The ATC issued these orders after the accused failed to appear for hearings or join investigations, with the court alleging they participated in activities involving attacks on state institutions during protests at Kohsar and Margalla police stations.
- Investigation officers argued the accused might flee the country to evade legal proceedings, naming other lawmakers including National Assembly Asad Qaiser, Shehram Khan Tarakai, Junaid Akbar, Shahid Khattak, Zubair Wazir, and Babar Saleem.
- Beyond passport blocks, the court ordered arrest warrants for all accused absent from proceedings and initiated legal steps to declare Afridi and other PTI leaders proclaimed offenders due to their continued absence.
- Last week, the Islamabad ATC maintained arrest warrants for Afridi and PTI lawmaker Junaid Akbar in November 26 protest cases, while Judge Tahir Abbas Supra ordered police to submit the challan as soon as possible.
