Neagley: Maria Sten-Starring "Reacher" Spinoff Set for Season 2
The renewal follows 40 million global viewers in 13 days and a top-10 debut for the action series, Amazon MGM Studios said.
- Prime Video renewed the action series Neagley for a second season on Thursday, following the show's successful debut. The series stars Maria Sten as Frances Neagley, a private investigator and former military protege of Jack Reacher.
- Based on novels by Lee Child, the series follows Neagley, a private investigator in Chicago and former member of the Army's 110th Special Investigations Unit. Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton created and executive produce the spinoff.
- Within its first two weeks after launching Sept. 16, Neagley reached 40 million viewers globally, ranking as a top-watched original series debut. 52% of the show's audience was based internationally, particularly in Germany and Brazil.
- The ensemble cast features Greyston Holt, Adeline Rudolph, Jasper Jones, Matthew Del Negro, and Damon Herriman, with Reacher star Alan Ritchson guest starring. Amazon MGM Studios and Paramount Television Studios produced the first season.
- Reacher, the flagship series, has been renewed for another season while production continues on the current installment. Amazon MGM Studios head of Global Television Peter Friedlander credited the spinoff's success to global audiences embracing the character.
