Disney+ Resolves Login Issue Impacting Users Across Globe
Downdetector logged nearly 20,000 reports as Disney+ users cited login, app and server connection problems, and the company said it is working to fix them.
On Thursday night, Disney Plus experienced a major service outage impacting more than 50,000 users worldwide, with reports spiking on DownDetector by Friday morning.
Login errors accounted for 49 per cent of user reports, while 36 per cent involved app issues, with no timetable provided for resolution.
Major League Baseball fans faced interruptions during the Yankees and White Sox game, while one user from Manchester who subscribed 24hrs ago called it a "crap start."
Disney Plus acknowledged the instability on social media, with a spokesperson writing, "Our team is already aware of the instability that's occurring and is working to fix it as soon as possible."
The outage arrives just before Toy Story 5's cinema release, featuring Buzz Lightyear, Woody, and Jessie facing a tablet named LilyPad three years after the previous installment.
