Shankaracharya of Jyotirmath, Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the BJP. He stated that two ideologies are visible within the BJP and described the honoring of the monks as damage control. He had given 40 days on the issue of cow protection, of which 20 days remain.
