Nonprofits Resume Haiti’s Hospital Services After 8 People Kidnapped by Gangs Freed

Gena Heraty and other hostages were freed after nearly a month in captivity following a gang attack on an orphanage, amid escalating violence that controls 85% of Haiti's capital, the United Nations said.

PORT-AU-PRINCE — The St. Luke Foundation and Our Little Brothers and Sisters have announced the reopening of St. Damien Pediatric and St. Luke hospitals after the release of eight hostages who were kidnapped from Saint Hélène orphanage in Kenscoff last month.
