Greece doubles IRIS transfer limits to boost digital payments
In a move aimed at further modernizing Greece’s digital payment infrastructure, the government announced that the daily limits for person-to-person (P2P) and person-to-business (P2B) money transfers via the IRIS system will double to €1,000 starting at the end of 2025.

The limit for person-to-person money transfers via the IRIS (P2P) system will be increased to 1,000 euros per day from the current €500, while the person-to-business limit (P2B) will also be raised to €1,000 per day, the government announced on Wednesday.
The doubling of transaction limits with IRIS was announced today (11/6) by the Minister of National Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis from the podium of the 9th DIAS 360 Payments conference.
