An Iranian official has for the first time publicly described the injuries suffered by Mojtaba Khamenei, saying he was thrown to the ground by a blast wave and hurt his kneecap, back, and the area behind his ear. Mehr News, citing Seyyed Mazaher Hosseini from the office of the Leader, reported on May 8–9 that Mojtaba has since recovered from the back injury, his kneecap is expected to heal soon, and he is now in full health.
