Eslami and his delegation had taken a scheduled flight to Vienna on Saturday, "but were stopped on their way there by obstacles through the US," Iranian television reported on Monday.
Iran's state television reported that the United States has blocked the Iranian nuclear chief from attending the annual conference, which begins Monday at the headquarters of the United Nations (UN) Nuclear Energy Agency in Vienna.
