- Markets reacted quickly, sending oil prices higher on shipping-route worries as a 10-to-15-day deadline and military buildup increased assessed odds of U.S. or Israeli action from 24% to 38%.
- Despite emergency prominence, Larijani has been entrusted with overseeing protests, nuclear talks, and coordinating with Qatar and Oman, acting as Khamenei's crisis manager, the report states.
