- US ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker called the offer "half measures" and "illusory deals," while the administration continues "Operation Economic Outcast" to pressure Tehran into halting vessel attacks in the waterway.
- Araghchi wrote on Telegram that Trump "has made many good statements, as well as many contradictory ones," while Tehran insists "only a negotiated solution can get them out of this deadlock.
