Iran's Civil Aviation Organization has filed a formal protest with the UN aviation watchdog, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), against restrictions imposed by the United States on Iranian aviation, as Tehran pursues diplomatic and legal measures to restore suspended flight routes.
The Iranian Civil Aviation Organization has formally protested to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) against United States actions that previously threatened to sanction all foreign companies servicing Iranian aircraft.
Tehran, Sep 28 (Latin Press) Iran filed a complaint with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) about the restrictions imposed by the United States on the aviation sector, reported today the director of the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization, Abuzar Shiroudi. The post Iran complains to ICAO about U.S. restrictions on its flights first appeared on Noticias Prensa Latina.
The US imposed sanctions in early September on Iran's entire aviation sector and vowed to take strict measures against any foreign companies providing assistance to it.
Siroudi emphasized that, despite the bans imposed by the US on airports in Europe, connecting flights are not affected and continue as normal.
