Apple has confirmed that iOS 26.5 will add end-to-end encryption to RCS messages sent between iPhone and Android devices. MacRumors reports, based on Apple's update notes, that the feature is still in beta status and will be rolled out gradually to carriers that support the latest version of the RCS standard.
