Investigation underway after fuel spill in James River
A fuel spill was identified during a JP5 fuel load transfer from a Navy barge to the John F. Kennedy (CVN 79) in the James River on Friday, and cleanup and remediation efforts were initiated immediately to contain the fuel and protect the surrounding environment.
