Monthslong investigation leads to arrest in Bulloch County narcotics trafficking case

A months-long investigation by the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office led to the arrest of Jamie Elton Newsome, who is accused of trafficking methamphetamine, fentanyl, and prescription drugs. Deputies seized a half-pound of suspected narcotics, various pills, and cash following a vehicle search near a Statesboro convenience store.

A Statesboro man was arrested with a large quantity of methamphetamine and fentanyl earlier this week, following a month-long investigation by the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Team.
