BURKE COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person is dead and two others are hurt after a shooting in Morganton Saturday evening. Deputies with the Burke County Sheriff's Office responded to the area of Kathy Road and McAlpine Avenue around 5:45 p.m. When deputies arrived, they discovered that one person with a gunshot wound was transported by a personal vehicle to the hospital.
