NUH DISTRICT, HARYANA, INDIA, JUL 13 – The suspension aims to prevent misinformation and unrest during the yatra, with around 2,500 police deployed and multiple security measures implemented, officials said.
- The Haryana authorities have imposed a 24-hour ban on mobile internet, bulk messaging, and dongle usage in Nuh district starting from 9 p.m. on July 13 until 9 p.m. on July 14, 2025, in preparation for the Braj Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra.
- The suspension followed a Sunday evening meeting with stakeholders aiming to prevent misinformation and maintain law and order during the yatra procession.
- Authorities appointed 24 duty magistrates at police stations, temples, toll plazas, and the procession, deployed 22 police and paramilitary units, and imposed bans on drones, firecrackers, kite flying, and meat shops along the route.
- On July 14, schools across Nuh district were closed due to major traffic rerouting and safety issues that posed challenges for students traveling to and from school.
- These measures suggest heightened security and administrative coordination aim to ensure the yatra proceeds peacefully while minimizing disruption and potential unrest in the district.
