An international drug network has smuggled cocaine and cannabis through Zaventem Airport for years. During a major police operation in Belgium and France, 21 suspects were arrested and 27 house searches were carried out. The gang used, among other things, cheap airline tickets to gain access to the baggage hall.
Twenty-one suspects have been arrested in Belgium and France in an investigation into drug smuggling via Brussels Airport Zaventem. Nineteen suspects were detained in Belgium on Wednesday, and two in France, the Belgian police reported on Thursday, supported by Europol.
