In August, the International Biochar Initiative will tour Washington orchards and vineyards as part of a study tour hosted by Qualterra in Spokane.The tour, scheduled Aug. 11–15, will visit Qualterra’s biochar facility in Cheney, The Soil Center’s biochar and vermicompost systems in Royal City, and several Washington orchards using biochar as a soil amendment.
