Tens of thousands of Russians have decided to go to Georgia on the basis of rumors about a possible new wave of mobilization this fall. Russia's Federal Customs Service (FSV) has announced a " record flow of passengers" at the border crossing point of Verhniy Lars.
More than 20,000 people crossed Russia ' s border with Georgia 24 hours a day, reported to the Federal Customs Service on the evening of 18 August.
At the Upper Lars crossing point on the Russian-Georgian border, the activity may involve travel not only to Georgia but also to Armenia, as RTVI stated by Arthur Muradyan, Vice-President of the Association of Russian Tour Operators.
