BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) — Six rehabilitated sea turtles were released into the Mississippi Sound Wednesday, including one loggerhead and five Kemp’s ridley turtles. The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies is sharing a turtle release scheduled for Wednesday. The release takes place at 10:30 on the beach across the street from Edgewater Mall. IMMS says five more of their sea turtles are returning to the Gulf. Three of them have acoustic tags while one has a satellite tag.
