Belleville firefighters knocked down fires in multiple homes in the 100 block of South John Street on Tuesday after receiving a call for assistance at 11:27 a.m.

A fire at multiple homes in south end Belleville City fire members responded to the 100 block of South John Street. There is significant damage to two of the homes and minor damage to a third. There are no reports of injury and the road is currently closed in the area. Belleville Police and Hastings Quinte Paramedics were also called to the scene. The blaze is now under control.
