Grocery sales and profits at Ingles Markets took a big hit in the quarter following Tropical Storm Helene. Net sales at the Black Mountain-based grocery chain were down $193 million, or 13 percent, in the three months ending Dec. 28 over the same period in 2023, the company reported in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
