According to Statistics Finland, inflation was driven most by increases in consumer prices for general hospital fees, coffee and mobile communications services.
The decline in the price of electricity and interest rates on mortgages and consumer loans curbed inflation.
The monthly increase of July presented an expected acceleration, which was 0.6 percentage points compared to the June register (1.1%) and for the third month to the thread remained below 2%. At the cumulative level, the January-July period of 2025, with 15.1% rise, showed the lowest price increase since 2017 (when it was 13.4%), while in the year-on-year comparison, 33.3% that marked July is the lowest level since August 2018.
