Slovak inflation spikes to 4.1% y/y in May, highest since 2023
Consumer price indices (inflation) in Slovakia increased by 4.1% year on year in May, the highest value since December, and returned to an accelerating trajectory after easing in April to 3.7% y/y.

Bratislava - The annual inflation rate in Slovakia accelerated to 4.1 percent in May from 3.7 percent in April. Consumer prices last rose faster there at the end of 2023. The Slovak Statistical Office informed ČTK about this today.
Consumer prices of goods and services increased by 0.5 percent month-on-month in May, the second highest price increase this year. Inflation, i.e. the year-on-year price increase, reached 4.1 percent, the last time it was higher was in December 2023.
