The multinational defense company Indra has asked the Government of Asturias that its plan to establish a factory of military armors in the workshop of mechanical constructions of Duro Felguera in the municipality of Barros (Langreo) be processed as a Project of Strategic Interest (PIER), a regulation created by the Asturian Executive in 2024 to accelerate the administrative steps of an investment especially relevant to Asturias.
