- Flash floods struck the Upper Trishuli Hydropower Project on August 26, leaving site engineer Sukhvinder Singh Rattan missing inside Tunnel-1 since the tragedy.
- India dispatched a fourth flight carrying 11 tonnes of relief supplies to Kathmandu, while forensic experts arrived to assist the Nepal Police and Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital with DNA analysis.
- Despite inclement weather, the rescue team successfully entered a tunnel near the Langtang hydroelectric project and retrieved the mortal remains of one person.
- The Ministry of External Affairs reported that 403 Indian nationals safely crossed into Nepal from China as of Sunday night, with another 500 remaining safe on the China side.
