Indian River School District School Calendar Update for Jan 14, 2026

Indian River School District families please be advised that Wednesday, January 14, 2026 will now be a regular school day for students and staff. The day was previous designated as no school for students and a professional learning day for staff. The calendar change will serve as a make-up day for the October 13 weather cancellation. The Board of Education approved the calendar change at its regular meeting on November 24.

McKenzie Schools Adjusts Calendar, Moves Forward With New Programs

The McKenzie School Board learned at their November 13 meeting that a new attendance incentive program is gaining traction: classes earn letters to spell “EAGLES” by maintaining perfect attendance, with the first class to complete the word receiving an ice cream party.
