Indian business organisations have hailed the ratification of New Zealand's free trade agreement with India, saying it should pave the way for more Indian investment in the country's infrastructure, education and healthcare sectors.
The free trade agreement between India and New Zealand will come into effect on October 20. With this, import duties on several products from New Zealand, such as wood, wool, apples, and kiwis, will be reduced. However, products such as milk and butter have been excluded from these concessions.
