- On Mar 24, 2026, the Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the India women's national cricket team squad for a five-match T20I tour of South Africa beginning April 17, including Anushka Sharma's maiden call-up.
- Following the Australia tour, India will travel to South Africa next month after winning the T20 series 2-1, using the trip as preparation for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup beginning June 12, 2026.
