A poll conducted in the US ahead of the November midterm elections revealed that independent voters' support for the Democratic Party increased from 45% to 49%, while their support for the Republican Party decreased from 45% to 39%.

According to a Gallup poll, independent voters in the U.S. are increasingly leaning towards the Democratic Party, while their support for the Republican Party is declining. This is considered the biggest advantage for the Democrats since 2008.
