Access to several social media accounts, including the Universal newspaper, Amnesty International, Peace Academics and the Association for Media and Legal Studies, were blocked on grounds of 'national security'.
The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has ordered the blocking of access to 58 social media accounts that were determined to contain obscene content and LGBT propaganda.
The accounts of Evrensel newspaper, Amnesty International, Academics for Peace, and the Media and Law Studies Association (MLSA) have been blocked.
Upon a request from the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the Bakırköy 4th Magistrates' Court issued a decision to block access to numerous social media accounts that spread LGBT propaganda and targeted the ongoing judicial investigation.
